Funny story. On the advice of another twin mom friend, I registered for the Bob Revolution SE Duallie double stroller, which she said was the absolute best pick for an active lifestyle with twins — great for jogging, hiking, beach walks (so basically, my life — or at least, the life I want to live).
We received the stroller as a very generous shower gift from my husband’s company, where his team even assembled it for us and tied it with a big bow, a la a Christmastime car commercial. Only problem was: It didn’t fit in our car. Matter of fact, we’d soon discover that nothing we’d need for twins fit in our compact hatchback — not any double stroller, and not even my husband when the two car seats were installed. So in my 36th week or so of pregnancy we copped to reality and bought an SUV.
So flash forward to now, when I have a car big enough and finally also babies big enough to test out the Bob. And oh my gosh, you guys, I am in love.
It wasn’t so long ago that I couldn’t have even imagined being in love with a stroller (and it wasn’t so long before that that I couldn’t imagine being in love with something like a backsplash, but life does tend to surprise us), nor certainly being able to discuss its finer points passionately with nuance. But when you have two infants, and a Los Angeles neighborhood filled with horrible sidewalks — you start to care about these things real quick.
For the first 12 weeks of our twins’ lives, we’d been using a basic frame stroller into which we snapped their car seats. The thing cornered like a Winnebago and was so long, I wondered about the weather on the other side. It took all of my energy (and in my post-op days, that wasn’t much) to lift the thing over the cracks in our horrible L.A. sidewalks, and my shoulders ached after a long walk in the park.
By comparison, the Bob practically wheels itself. As my husband put it, “You just breathe on it, and it goes.” We now compete for who “gets” to push, instead of who reluctantly has to. Apparently due to some kind of fancy suspension system, the action is so unbelievably smooth, I’ve been calling it the Lincoln Navigator of strollers. (In fact, I’m more excited about it than I am about my aforementioned SUV, which falls in the luxury category.)
BTW, I don’t jog or run per se (unless chased), but I’d consider this the best active-lifestyle stroller for twins, not just the best jogging stroller for twins.
Some key features:
- Conveniently, each seat is flanked by two mesh pockets, for bottles or binkies or the like.
- There are generously sized sun-cover canopies that snap into multiple positions, and even a moon roof-style clear panel to check on the babes. (I’m sure there are many cold-weather and precipitation benefits here too, but I live in L.A., so…)
- The cargo compartment underneath is sizable and easy to access. There’s more space in the seat-back pockets too. This makes our Sunday trips to the Beverly Hills Farmers Market (pictured above!) way more comfortable. Hey kids, hold my kale while I drink the hell out of this organic, fair-trade coffee!
- The parking brake is large and easy to set or release with the toes of one foot (instead of getting hands grubby and jacking up the nails, like I had to do with our previous frame stroller).
- The all-terrain wheels and tires go anywhere, including sand, thick dirt on the track at our local park where I walk, crappy L.A. sidewalks in dire need of repair, or grammy and grampy’s house in the wilds of Topanga.
Yes, the thing is substantial in weight (34 pounds) and large — but honestly? If you have twins (or two stroller-age kids), you’re not really traveling light anyway, so you might as well at least be comfortable. Beyond that, it folds in two simple steps, so it’s not like a crazy schlep.
I could go on with my Bob Revolution SE Duallie double stroller review, but how about you try one for yourself? (Wait for it…)
The awesome folks at Bob have reserved one of these bad-ass double strollers — the brand new 2014 model — just for one of my readers. Hooray!
To enter to win, just “like” the Homebody in Motion Facebook page, and write a comment here or there telling me why you want to win. (You’re eligible if you live anywhere in the U.S or Canada, except Quebec.)
I’ll pick a winner on December 1.
Good luck, my friends!

I am a runner with 2 young girls and would love the bob to get around town and be able to run
I would love to win this stroller since I have a 7 month old and 2 year old that this would work great with. Its hard going anywhere with 2 kids and 2 strollers. This will be a great addition and we will make the best use of it!
i would diiiiie for this stroller! I need a good running stroller for me & my lovely twins. Not sure how else I’ll be able to get fit! Thanks for your awesome generosity!
I need this stroller I have a military family and it is difficult being a single parent during certain times having two babies makes it even more difficult but I love my boys and we could do so much more with this stroller!
Due any day now with #2! I could really use motivation to get off my behind after recovery! Double jogger is def in order. Thanks!
i would love to win this stroller. I have a single bob but have recently had a second child who hates the car (screams bloody murder), so it would be great to get them both out and about without too many tears! I’m also looking forward to running again and this would make things so much easier than waiting for my husband to get home at night
My dream stroller! I’d love it!
I would love to win the stroller. We have been using our double snap and go which isn’t going to be good when our lil’ ones are bigger or wearing them. Would love a stroller that can grow with them!
Great articles, Alice! I’m clicking on a ton of them. Please enter us to win the stroller. Maybe it would inspire me to go jogging, but no promises. Either way, maybe we can meet at the farmers market sometime. We go there too on Sundays.
Best stroller for the active, outdoor LA lifestyle!
So nice of you to offer this! I’d love to win this as a gift to my husband. He has recently become a runner and this stroller would make for some great daddy bonding time, and by extension mommy alone time! 🙂
I would love to win the stroller and be part of the Bob revolution! It would get plenty of use, I’m a stay at home mom and love to get out and about with my girls
great article and look at you with your twins! superhotmama!!
Liked the page! I would love to win this for my twin sister! With 4 kiddos, she could really use it! I think it would help her get around easier, and provide her as easy way to keep active with her children; something that is important to her! Thank you very much!!!
I would LOVE to win this, it would make it easier to get out and exercise with my 2 small children.
I don’t have twins but I do wish to expand my family. I have a 13 month old and am currently putting for every BOB giveaway imaginable just to get my hands on one. We have a “Craigslist bargain” stroller that I wish to upgrade…..BADLY! Thanks for the opportunity 🙂
I would love to win this stroller!!! Bobs are the best! Great quality. I would love this for my dirt road! Thanks!
Liked Homebody in Motion (and followed on other social media 🙂 )
I would really appreciate such a huge win because we never got the chance to get a jogging stroller with out first, and it would really help with the baby weight with the second! With our first, we basically went through the gauntlet between hubs’ workload almost doubling to 70-80 hour work weeks outside in the elements, and all of our family living out of state and unable to help. So, instead of getting the regular exercise I was used to pre-baby, I was devoting every free second I could to sleep (our son just turned two in August and is just now sleeping more than four hours at a time!). Now, I’m mentally prepared and ready to do it all over but with a stronger mind and active and healthier lifestyle!
I just had our twins last week!!! I am ready to roll and get moving!
I would love to win because I have 2 children who love to go for long walks to the park.
I would love to win this to get back in shape after I give birth in feb
I would love to win because i hate giving up time with my family in order to get my run in!
I would love to be able to jog with BOTH of my kids (2 and 6mo) at the same time! I love my BOB revolution SE single, but it is a hassle to have to plan a jog around one child staying home with daddy! 🙂
I would love this stroller for my 2 boys! It looks so comfortable and easy to maneuver.
I would love to win the duallie! Our family is expanding and obviously our single Bob revolution won’t cut it anymore. I absolutely love my single Bob and I’m sure the duallie would be just as wonderful!
I would live to win the BOB stroller because I have 2 stroller aged kids and our double stroller is just not cutting it. My youngest was a failure of an IUD (it perforated my uterine wall) and we haven’t been Finacially stable ever since. I also had a bowel perforation at delivery (thanks IUD!) So Ive been pretty inactive for the last few months. With this stroller, I’ll actually be able to start walking and taking my kiddos to the park again!
Ahh! We need one of these double strollers. Hubby and I run and we’d love to maintain that lifestyle with two babes. A great way to teach them via setting the example and all without compromising comfort with the awesome features the BOB has to offer!
Hoping for baby #2!
I have used my single bob every day with my 3.5 year old daughter and I now have also two week old son and I would love to be able to run with both of them in the future!
I have a single bob revolution and LOVE it. I would love to win a double because I am expecting my 2nd baby and this will help me stay active and be a healthy influence for my two littles. Thanks for the great review and giveaway.
Oh, I need a new BOB! Mine a million years old and falling apart. We run nearly every day and we’re training for a half-marathon and I need something that I can load the babies in and go!
I would love this double jogger to stay fit and show my babes the importance of being healthy!
hi!! So excited about this contest. I have wanted a Bob Duallie stroller for a long time now! I trained for my first half almost completely with my jogging stroller! Don’t want two to slow me down!!!
Alice,
My wife is 15 weeks pregnant with our second child. Our daughter is 22 months and I take her on runs at least 4 times a week during the summer. I’ve been training to qualify for Boston the past few years( as a New England native it’s been a dream), but was hesitant about continuing to train after our daughter was born. As a way for me to bond with our daughter, my wife and parents surprised me with a jogging stroller ( don’t worry, my wife comes along a few times as well!). While initially she( our daughter, not my wife) would nap on our runs, now she loves the movement and taking in all of the different scenery and animals (chipmunks, etc). Although this isn’t a jogging stroller per se ( as you mention), I do think this will do just great for our runs and everyday use. Recently we rented a side by side on vacation with my nieces and nephews and our daughter loved riding with her cousins in the stroller.
We (mostly my wife) have been looking at options for a dual stroller, but haven’t been able to come to a decision yet ( side by side or front/back, heavy or what passes for light with a duallie….soooo many options). I would love to have the decision made for my wife and provide her, my daughter, and baby to be named later with this phenomenal stroller. If you were to give this wonderful gift to us this holiday season, not only would it allow us to continue the tradition of running (not only encouraging our kids to be active but also to get outside and enjoy each other and the beautifully unique environment of Minnesota…those canopies sound great for the unpredictable weather up here ), but it also will take one more thing off my wife’s plate as we prepare for baby #2. And it would be nice to surprise her back! Thank you for your consideration and offering this wonderful gift ( as well as the service you provide to all us parents with your reviews).
Thanks again for all you do!
Carlo
I would love to win this stroller for my little ones! I am expecting my second this coming January and will have two under two! I would love to take them outdoors this coming spring in this awesome stroller!
I would love to win this! I have 2 kids and another on the way and this would be so awesome to win!
i would love to win this because my 11 month boy/girl twins would love it!!! We currently use an umbrella stroller and I think we are up for an upgrade!!!!
i want to win because I don’t have the funds for a nice double stroller but I absolutely love going on walks!! When baby number 2 comes in January I won’t have an option…
Love my single Bob and desperately want a double now that I’ve had baby #2! We also have terrible sidewalks in CT! 🙁
I’ve love to win this as I’m expecting #3 and after many years of using my previous double it’s very tired!
Love the Bob strollers and will need a double when baby 2 comes along!
I’d love one of these as I have a single and we have a second child now! Our older kid gets tired on long walks so it is great to have the duallie to give him a rest when he is tired of riding his bike or walking. Good for everyone in the family!
Love this story! My three month old twin girls would love a stroller like this for sure!!
Hi! I would love to win the BOB duallie! I’m due with my second baby girl in March. Before I had my first baby, after a lifetime of being overweight, I lost 40lbs by hard work, eating right, and exercising. I only gained 13 lbs while pregnant. After her birth, I was constantly starving due to breastfeeding, and the stress of no sleep and caring for a newborn, overwhelmed me and over the next 2 or so years I slowly gained back 30lbs that I had worked so hard to lose. Now that I’m about to have my second, I’m determined to get back on track and o model a healthy lifestyle for my girls. The BOB duallie will help me to do so so I can be out and about with the both of them. Thanks for allowing me the chance to enter this contest!
i would love to be entered ! This stroller would help us out so much I’m pregnant with number 4
And we very active family thanks
We had the same type you mentioned – long and clunky – this seems much easier to handle, but it’s over two years old (and hopefully not recalled). Could really use one for my newborn (and maybe his sister can take a ride beside him when she’s tired)!
Would love to have a dualie since we have a single BOB and are considering trying for no. 2!
I would love a double bob, I have a single bob but have 2 kids so I would love the double
I would use it so i could keep walking everyday once the new baby gets here!
Liked on facebook as Cassandra Eastman!
I’d love to win because I’m expecting our 3rd baby so it’d be great to have a double stroller. I love that the BOB has a high weight limit, large canopies and cargo basket! I also love that it’s all terrain so we could take it anywhere, including nature walks (our favorite!) Sounds like a great stroller all around!!
Would love to win the bob dualie! Baby number two is on the way and want to keep up on our walks and outings!
I love my BOB too for the same reasons you listed! I had to search far and wide for my BOB, though, and lucked out with one for $100 (a single) that was the model sold like 4 years back. I used it all the time for errands and running (best running stroller I’ve tried!). I used a graco when I visited my parents and never realized what a great stroller the BOB was until I didn’t have it with me. I definitely wished I brought it along with me for the trip!
With our family growing, I’m in search of a double but the price tag is so steep! Winning it would be amazing =)
After having my first son I had a single jogger and would consistently go on runs with him. I was getting in great shape and was very happy. I gave birth to my second little guy about 4 months ago and the double stroller we have is not one you can run with. Since my oldest is only 2 he is still going to be stroller bound for a while and this mama wants to run! I have no time on my own to run and can’t with my current stroller. I eat healthy but have still managed to get to my heaviest weight yet. A good friend of mine just had twins and has this stroller and I fell head over heels in love with it. One problem. It’s way more than my husband and I can afford to spend. Money is tight right now. Winning this stroller would be a dream. Not only would it help us financially, but physically it would help me get back into shape. With the rough New England winter ahead I’m going to need something built tough and this stroller would be fantastic. Please please please make it the best Christmas ever for my little family of four . Help us get back on track! We want a B.O.B.!
I want to win so I can take both my little one and my niece out together.
I have also heard amazing things about this stroller and with just having my 2nd child (older one only 17 months) I know I’m going to need a great active stroller to keep these 2 and myself sane :0) Thanks! And have an amazing Holiday season!!
I would love to win this because I am expecting surprise twins and the budget would never allow me to buy a great stroller like this.
what an amazing stroller to use with my 2 guys
We love to walk & this would keep the kids safe while the cars speed by!
I’d love to win the Bob stroller so I can exercise!
I am in need of a double stroller. I just had my baby girl nov 1st and last year I had my baby boy who is 15months now. I don’t have funds or a lot of financial support…im stuck with one stroller and a baby carrier right now. Its starting to feel a little frosty outside these days and im afraid ill be stuck like this longer than expected. Please Help!!!
The Bob Revolution SE Duallie lookslike a perfect stroller for a growing family. It will fit perfectly in my new mini-van. =)
To have this stroller gifted to us would be an absolute dream! We currently have 2 under 2.5 and come June we will have 3 under 3! I work full time but I’m home with my kids 4 days a week. This stroller would help me be able to keep up with our hectic schedule and remain (mostly!) hands free. It would be such a blessing to our family.
I’m a personal trainer and need to make sure I can stay active and on the go with my babies on the way to keep up with my active lifestyle and work demands!
I’d love to take my toddler and infant on a ride in the Bob. Currently, we only have a single stroller and a double would make life oh so much easier! 🙂

In my opinion, I don’t think this is a best double stroller. I had bought and used it for a long time but I don’t like it due to:
– It’s very very HEAVY, not easily to whipping this stroller around.
– Require two hands to fold it, very annoying.
Because I’m always on the move so after 3 months using it, I had to choose a new one that lighter. After read many review on the internet, finally I made decision on Maclaren Twin Triumph and very happy with it. If you like to read more about that, go to this useful site and search for this product.
